Henri Chen
Founder & Chairman
Henri Chen is the chairman of Davos New Energy, Davos Investment Corporation, and Gao Yang Online. His global journey began at 14 when he left Taiwan to study abroad, living in the Dominican Republic, the United States, Russia, and France. These experiences shaped his deep understanding of diverse cultures and business environments. Returning to Taiwan at 45, Chen combined his international experience with local opportunities to drive growth across various industries.
With expertise in finance, venture capital, IT, telecommunications, media, and education, Chen brings an entrepreneurial approach to his ventures. He studied in the International MBA Program at National Chengchi University. Fluent in multiple languages, he navigates global markets with ease.
At Davos New Energy, he focuses on expanding green energy solutions, particularly in household energy storage, while fostering collaborations with international partners like Mitsui Group. Chen is committed to innovation and sustainability in future energy management.
Peter Kurz
Co-Founder
Over a distinguished 40-year career, Peter Kurz has earned a reputation as one of the foremost analysts of Taiwan’s markets, earning the title "Mr. Taiwan." Currently serving as co-founder of Davos New Energy, Peter also serves as Chief Strategy Officer at Quantum International Corp (QIC) where he advises companies on accessing global capital markets. Before joining QIC in 2019, Peter was Head of Country Research and Managing Director at Citigroup Global Capital Markets (Taiwan), where he also served as Chairman. His career includes pivotal roles at BNP Paribas, Merrill Lynch, ING Barings, Bear Stearns, and the Bank of Boston, where he established their Taiwan operations. Peter’s work spans major financial hubs such as New York, London, Hong Kong, and Taipei. His insights have been recognized by top surveys, including Institutional Investor and Asiamoney.
Peter holds a degree in Earth Sciences from Dartmouth College and a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University. He also studied at National Taiwan University and Tunghai University, becoming fluent in Mandarin and deeply connected to Taiwanese culture.
